Wednesday: Rooftop Views
K and I were invited to a dinner in Belize City this evening so headed up after work. We gave Rhonda, our junior housekeeper, a lift as she lives up in Belize City and has to get the bus there and back every day, a journey of about an hour and fifteen. It’s a few dollars cheaper to get the older busses without airconditioning so that’s usually what she gets.
Dinner was very nice - very small, just six of us at a contact’s home. Our host is from Peru so the theme was Peruvian including some very good Pisco sours.
We’re staying in a very new hotel. It’s probably the first decent hotel that Belize City has so that’s pretty exciting. Here’s a view from our balcony.
I’m already looking forward to breakfast. Apparently it’s very good.
And thank you so much for the very kind birthday wishes from yesterday.
