Road trip

Ian starts at Surrey Uni next week so we had a road trip to explore the place and so that Ian could spend a few hours meeting the team.

We had lunch in the town once we arrived and then Ian headed on to campus whilst I picked up a walking tour map from the tourist info centre.  I managed to follow it without getting lost - which is a miracle for me. It was a really useful way to look around and thankfully the day was much cooler which made it easier to plod about.

After I finished the tour I walked onto campus and again managed not to get lost.  Then I spent a few hours exploring the campus which is rather nice.  There was a lake to wander around with loads of geese and the whole campus looks well manicured and cared for.

Once Ian finished his meetings we met up for the journey home. Although it is a long drive it is a pretty straightforward drive. We got to enjoy Stonehenge on the way home, backlit by a lovely evening sky.

I ended on 18.5k steps for the day so had a great night’s sleep
