Balls-Up!
Could describe this morning really!
Once again it was beautifully sunny first thing and I decided to put the door-grille on. In the process I hit a can of dark berry cider which was one of three standing, for some reason, in the back entrance. I noticed the hissing as I fitted the grille and by the time I'd secured it a dark pool of cider had formed on the floor, with a trail all the way to the toilet where I had to tip it. (Too early to drink it!)
After cleaning the mess up with some washing about to go into the machine I put the washing on and had breakfast, a coffee and caught up Blip Comment.
The next door-grille related disaster came when I went to hang out the washing. By this time it had clouded over again and cooled down quite a bit. I took the grille off and went out with the washing only to see the grille fall down behind the door as I closed it. And when I tried to open the door, the grille jammed against the frame of the bathroom doorway creating only a small gap - nowhere near wide enough to get in!
Once again I was faced with a walk up to Jewson's wearing my slippers! I set off once and went back home to see if I could move the blockage with an old broom that was out in the yard: No chance.
The look on Brian's face when he saw me rocking up at his workplace wearing slippers, not for the first time, was a picture! At least this time it was not entirely my fault, other than in not moving the grille away from the door so it couldn't block it!
Anyway he brought me home and let me in so I could have lunch. Later I went for a walk to get a Blip in the Arboretum. It was still very gloomy. I liked this shot best of all those I took, but I will post a phone extra of scenery.
The possibility of rioting in Lincoln last night fortunately came to nothing. Some anti racist protesters attended the scene but only three local youths turned up looking for trouble. There was some police presence and apparently one of the youths was arrested for damaging a cop car. That was the extent of it, thankfully.
