Playing the tourist……..

…….. at Castle Howard.
Except for going to the ‘Proms’ in 2015 we have never been inside the house until today.
We started off with a ride in Kelly Car, a tractor pulled land train we alighted at the boathouse cafe where we had coffee and cake, we then retraced our steps to visit the magnificent house, each room we visited we were greeted by very knowledgeable volunteers.
We also had the added bonus of seeing the wonderful sculptures of Sir Tony Cragg.
We spent so much time in the house it was too late to visit the gardens and it was also raining.
A good excuse to revisit. So glad we invested in a membership
