Sensational!

George's response to eating his first ripe fig from this very healthy fig he has growing in a pot at home. I took a sneaky pic through the leaves as he was just tucking into the second ripe fruit I'd just picked. He had never eaten fresh figs before, & couldn't believe he could eat the skin as well.

Early morning picking veggies in the mizzle. Beetroot, runner beans, peas, courgette, potatoes, lettuce, and chipples (spring onions) for George & Jean. Back home I shelled peas for the freezer.
Down to CK, made Mum's breakfast, then walked Indie. Still grey & mizzly. Summer!
Sat watching Olympics with Mum before making her lunch. The skies brightened slightly so I headed over to George & Jeans in BT. Did a good general tidy up, deadheading, weeding, pruning, & sweeping the paths. Tidied up the grape vine in the greenhouse before I left. That 4 hours went quickly.
Back to CK to Mum's blood pressure again before picking hubby up from the pub. Jacket potato, prawns in a Marie Rose sauce and salad. Then more Olympic viewing. Loving the games. Come on team GB!! :-D
