A Tale Of Two Benches

This morning I took a little diversion through a small nature/woodland area (only about 100 metres by 50 ) that was created a few years ago next to the football field in Clifford. It is a nice place to wander - lots of birds and I have found fungi in there before.

The path has been ‘resurfaced’ with new woodchips/shavings and it looks very smart.

Sadly though, one of the two benches along the path (there are two more outside the wood) looks to have rotted and fallen over…I suppose it may have been pushed over as part of the ‘maintenance’ to stop someone falling over. I did poke the ‘good’ one with my foot and it seemed pretty solid.
