Flamenco time

It was the annual flamenco show in Lézignan this evening, a must-see if I am here. It's always Lorenzo Ruiz, who is based in Perpignan and has been coming here for 25 years. He has a changing cast of musicians and dancers, always featuring gravel-voiced singer Melchior Campos. Two dancers this time; sorry, I didn't catch their names, but this one was very nifty with her castanets, and drummed her feet so fast that they were just a blur. A good show; I went with Ingrid and G, and we all enjoyed it. Nice to get a little taste of Andalusia at home ... it's been 8 months.

A lovely refreshing swim in the morning, then a quiet day largely spent indoors -- too hot to go out!
