Resting with a cup of coffee
Today I decided that rather than follow my usual haunts, the side alleys and entries of central Belfast, I would go to the central shopping area and City Hall. The first people I approached were Indian tourists, they declined my offer to take their photograph.
I spent the time walking and shooting whatever appealed to me, but nothing that met with my selected project presented itself. I walked up Donegall Place into the beginning of Royal Avenue and saw a former department store building, a listed building, open so I walked in. It's now used as a walk in space to relax and have coffee. I spotted this man, John, and asked to photograph him and this is the result. Being inside using available light was just OK, so it's not brilliant.
I was chatting to the security guard on the door, he remembered me from my civil service days, he too is a retired civil servant. While chatting another man came up to me and asked me to take his photograph. Just a pity that the light was poor.
Other photographs taken today will be on my Instagram account wr_bradley
