A dull morning. I walked to the postbox with a birthday card. Had a wander around the streets but found nothing to blip. After lunch and Olympics (climbing) I decided to walk along the riverside to Rydal.

A roe deer crossed the road in front of me and went into a field beside the river. In the few seconds it took me to move around the other side of a tree for a photo it had disappeared.

The main was my first photo. Thought I’d try something different. In the extra are the stepping stones, ice cream van and alpacas. £4 for one scoop of ice cream in a cone!!!! I didn’t buy one . . . I pay £2.20 in Ambleside.
