Tiny Diamond Wishes

The Diamond Wishes rose bush I carried for two miles last Friday, potted up today to mark what would’ve been Mum and Dad’s 66th wedding anniversary. This evening Dad and I are raising a glass to Mum. 

After a cool, grey start, a beautiful sunny, breezy day of 20 degrees, perfect for drying the washing. Should’ve been out there making the most of the weather but, with the house to myself, caught up on odd jobs and enjoyed Olympics viewing in peace. This evening it’s more Athletics action and I’m enjoying more birthday gifts, a Mojito cocktail and the most amazing box of Hotel Chocolat chocolates!

Today’s GB medal tally: Gold in Men’s Boulder Climbing. Silver in Women’s Madison Track Cycling, and in Athletics Women’s 4x100m Relay and Women’s Heptathlon. Bronze in Men’s Sprint Track Cycling, and in Athletics Men’s 4x100m Relay.
