Bin find no 8,456
The sore back was still with me this morning, but it’s easing up a bit. I walked slowly up to the chemist, JR and Archie came too. I thought they could maybe give me an effective painkiller. No, they couldn’t - they told me to go to the surgery. There, they sent me home, saying that I’d get a phone call from a doctor, which I did. He insisted that a medic would come and visit me!! I’ve never had that before. We agreed that my back was coming right, and I did feel a bit of a fraud, though the doctor who came quite enjoyed the stroll out in the sunshine and seeing a bit of the crazy Olympic climbing event, which was on at the time (I did put the sound off!) At times, the climbers were hanging on with TWO FINGERS!! And a UK lad of 19 won the gold medal.
I needed to keep moving, so I took Archie out twice in the afternoon while JR went to town - just short walks. Very slow walks though. And with my second bag of peas, I cunningly left them in the kitchen, so that I’d have to get up and walk through to have another handful every so often.
We found a rather nice chair today, but you may be distracted by the prolific weeds in the gutter. The whole place is like this, and worse! A couple of years ago the council stopped spraying weeds (a Greens policy) and just left them to take over the city. Some places are worse, much worse than this bit. They now have workers doing one road at a time, digging them out. But as soon as they finish a road, the weeds have started again, of course. Can’t be an effective use of limited council funds.
