Bales
Late morning I drove to my eldest son's house in Cwmbran (South Wales UK) to watch the Cardiff City FC v Sunderland football match which kicked the new season off. The short of it is we lost 0-2 which flatters Sunderland somewhat but a loss is a loss and not a great start. Hopefully we will be more clinical next week!
On the way there it was drizzle, but the return journey back to Herefordshire was sunshine and lovely white clouds against a blue sky. The tree near Llanfihangel Gobion (nr Abergavenny, Wales) and numerous bales of hay in the field caught my eye against the sky. I stopped to take a photo' and take it the beautiful summer scene. At least something bright in my day!
We're off out for a cheapie meal and drink tonight with our friends and neighbours. Archie is a Man. Utd fan. They lost to Man. City today in The Charity shield on a penalty shoot out after a 1-1 draw. A drink will cheer us up.
