A successful day at Morebattle Games
We managed to get ourselves out and up to Morebattle in time for the start of the games. It was only £10 for us all to go in. We parked up beside my cousins Tom and Duncan who had come from Galloway with their camper vans. We had such a nice day.
I took the children over to the trophy tent so that they could see the cup my parents gave for the 200 metres. Then the children went to enter their age groups for the children’s races. Ella’s group was ages 12-16 and was won by a girl who was a member of a a running school. (She won two of the later main races). So Ella did well. Nathaniel was in aged 9-11 and came second. They got £3.
It was good to catch up with my cousins. I’d not seen Tom for a few years but see (Reform) Duncan more often. He was quiet about his views when Tom and his wife chatted about how wonderful it was that people came out of mosques to offer food to the rioters. Maybe he’ll ‘reform’.
We are going out to have a local Italian tonight.
