Sunny day

This morning a friend, who's a few months older than me, and I went for a run in and around Tentsmuir Forest. She's entered a 10 mile race next month and has never previously run more than about 8 miles, today we did 9, mostly off road but not many hills so the flat 10 miles on tarmac should be no problem for her.
It was quite windy but the main section where it could have been an issue it was behind us, and we didn't have much distance running straight into it on the way back. We appreciated being in the forest in the second half, it would have been rather hot otherwise.
Refreshments at the cafe/finishing point were very welcome.
Home for a late lunch and a bit of work in the garden in the afternoon - starting to dig out the wild bit by the old plum tree so it can eventually be turned into a veg patch. It will take a while, it's hard work.
Knitting and Olympics after tea, the knitting is progressing very well!
