Sun on seeds
Went for a walk in the afternoon after church round by the ponds. Most of the flowers - apart from the Balsam - are now seedheads, some of which look good when the sun catches them. I had a chat with a couple of guys who were also enjoying the place and a family who were looking at the American crayfish. These, unfortunately, have taken up residence in the burn but otters have been seen recently and they eat crayfish, so it's hoped they will at least control the numbers.
We went out for our meal to a friend's and she did some lovely roast beef, a treat for all of us. Afterwards we saw some of the Olympics closing ceremony before it was time to return home.
