Slow Saturday

I stayed in bed until about 5pm today, guilt free. Lower chronic pain, higher fatigue. I didn’t sleep past 8.30am or at all during the day but did my best to rest and listen to my body.

Got myself showered and headed out, got a little sunshine and enjoyed that and the warm breeze. Thank goodness for makeup! Fibromyalgia loves makeup haha…

Got my Duolingo done and caught up with messages from friends.

My Mum told me today that she has had the five year all clear from breast cancer, a huge relief. She was feeling very emotional and relieved, her mammogram clear. Hopefully, the next stage will be her coming off the meds.

As some of you will know, we have had a difficult relationship but I am happy to hear the cancer has not returned.

I hope this good news brings hope to others battling the disease, my Mum is 74 next month and was almost 69 when she was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer. We are so fortunate to have screening.
