Evening Cruise

It’s turned into a sunny Sunday after all and the wind has dropped. It wasn’t quite so appealing at 10am when I plodded along wet pavements to get to the slip as a drizzle stopped in timely fashion just as I left. I had a lovely faff about in the sea and was not blown anywhere but did get tangled every now and then in the long strings of spaghetti like seaweed that seem to like wrapping themselves tightly round my arms as an effective restraint.

As I was almost finished getting dried and suited a man with a dog bravely accosted our gathering and asked if Sally’s Mum was present. I actually was only half listening but was aware that people were pointing in my direction. Turned out to be Kenny,  a picture restorer known to daughter #1 who was up from Edinburgh staying at the caravan site and who had promised the daughter he would say hello. What he must have thought of the wild looking woman advancing towards him with one shoe on and one shoe off, hair standing on end and water coming out of her nose after the obligatory handstands , I might never know.  In May it was blipper Tryfan46 who was brave enough to came to the slip to ask if Lady Blipper was present. Again I didn’t hear as I was in the throes of getting dressed but fingers were once more pointed in my direction. In both cases, I was caught off guard and didn’t have time to respond as I would have liked.

This evening there will be a double dip at the slip  to celebrate a  special Selkie’s significant birthday. There will be a portable sauna and I have been told drinks and snackettes will be served. The weather is obliging at the moment so I hope it holds up. It all sounds very exciting.

I have just been notified by Blipfoto that I have  posted my 5,500 blip. Imagine that! I should probably be incarcerated in a secure addiction  unit - the Priory perhaps!
