Canal visitors

Glorious afternoon here in Edinburgh - was very pleasant over at the Ashley Terrace Boathouse, for our regular Sunday-afternoon boat hiring ...

... we had various visitors - some more regular, like the passing holiday-barge in the main picture; others more irregular, like the juvenile heron in the 1st extra who flew onto one of the boats as it was moored East of the Boathouse, wandered along the off-bank path, eventually entering into and through the open Boathouse, before sunbathing for a while (see 2nd extra) in the West Yard :-))

It flew off, after a while, straight under the Ashley Terrace Bridge!
