Superfluous to requirements

It’s been a hot day today, around 29°, with an even hotter one forecast for tomorrow. Not being lovers of the heat, we have mainly stayed indoors, where it’s relatively cool, but we did sit out on the terrace to have our lunch. I had made a butternut squash, spinach and goat’s cheese tart, which we had with a colourful mixed salad.

The garden is looking a bit sad and dry at the moment, so when I went out in the evening sunshine to look for a suitable blip, I drew a blank. However, when I looked up, the sky looked perfect. Hopefully we won’t be putting the chimney pots into service any time soon.
