Where Else…

… could this be, but Spain? Taken through a (dirty) windscreen with my phone.

Up at 4am, for Mike to help ferry folk to Barcelona airport, and me to start stripping beds, sweeping, washing and hanging out towels, emptying bins, dishwasher, fridge…

They were all back in England before we left. Drove over halfway home, then gave up, and staying the night at a great place Deb found for us, somewhere SW of Madrid - Novés (location on map).

Drove through incredible scenery, desert like, buttes, mesas - no wonder they filmed Westerns here.

Gratefuls:
- all the family getting safely home
- air con in our room - it’s been 40C out there, and not much cooler now
- the lovely woman here arranging for us to eat at her friend’s bar - small town, it’s vacaciones, and a Sunday night, so not much option.
