WEDDING DAY
# we were definitely dressed for the occasion. The bride’s Mum had gifted us these wonderful outfits. I had to get there early and one of the bride’s lovely Aunties helped dress me!!!
#The bride’s Dad is a vicar in a local church and her Mum works with The Rev in the hospital. So she didn’t need a car to the church but walked over under a canopy. A lovely family photo.
#Besides her parents, her 2 Aunties are also
priests…so with The Rev they all had a part to play. There was even a bishop there!!
Apparently it’s what would have happened in India with local village priest and bishops all coming together.
# The Rev doing his part and giving his blessing.
# The Happy Couple.
Everyone was invited to the reception afterwards for drinks and really delicious canapes. Then the speeches which were very emotional. I’ve never cried at a Best Man’s speech before but he was in tears too along with several others. We watched the cutting of the cake. Most left at 6;30-7 as the family were having a small family dinner (well about 40). It was an unusual way to do it but it worked. Often when you only go to the evening you miss the speeches.
