Sucker

I packed up and drove south yesterday.. the loveliest day by the sea.. hardly a breath of wind and really hard to leave.  I packed up early and then just sat and took it all in before heading off at around 1pm. I had a good run down the motorway (that doesn't happen often these days) but it was rediculously hot. I left in 22C and arrived in the evening at 28.5C so it was definitely one of the hottest journeys I have done.
Still, I was treated on my arrival to a salady supper in the garden (first this year) as the light faded by not one but both my daughters.. what a treat xx
At 6am the youngest headed north.. a long drive ahead of her but hopefully back by lunchtime and cooler than here. We barely slept for the heat.. impossible. I really hope tonight will be cooler.
I am hiding indoors for a bit just now since it is peaking at 28C outside and we had a thunderstorm earlier that ramped up the humidity.. peef!
As the result I spotted these wonderful layered shadows on the window edge.. beautiful (or is it just me that loves these faint patterns in surprising places! ??)
I need ice cream so may have to drive out to get some.. :)
