I walked getting wet!

At 5:30 it was grey and damp when I left the house for RIverside Park. We'd had rain in the forecast, but in a semi-arid region that doesn't mean much. It can pass us by or only get distributed in parts of the city.
Portions of the park were cordoned off to the public this morning. The weekend had seen a big ribfest in the park. Today, clean up must begin.
A city vehicle was removing portable toilets on a long trailer as I arrived.
I parked by the Uji Friendship Garden to walk up the bike path to the bridge. I found only one marmot under the Celtic Stones. I had to wonder where the rest had gone.
I got a panorama including my mountains from the halfway point on the path. Rain started and it felt wonderful.
I drove over to the rose garden and had a little walk around. I had a look at the tents inside the fence. One worker was positioned near the entrance under a canopy. I wondered what he'd been tasked with.
I don't usually visit two parks in one morning. I had so much time before the grocery store opened I drove to Vantage Point by the airport to see what sunrise looked over the river there. I took a small walk along the Rivers Trail to be rewarded with one dignified eagle perched above the river.
I collected some groceries and my breakfast, then made for home. It is lovely to see some puddles at least in some parts of the city.
I'm in the office for a couple of hours this morning, then it's back home with feet up. Our handyman may put in an appearance.
