Brimstone
It was a foggy start to the day as I went out for the morning Pilates class. It was still pretty cloudy with poor visibility and a light drizzle as I returned home for breakfast and coffee.
It wasn't until later in the afternoon that the sun came out and I decided to visit Bystock Pond to see what wildlife was around. There were a number of different dragonflies quickly flitting around the main pool including an Emperor Dragonfly but it was too far away for my camera. I went for a walk around the area walking past the smaller pools where more dragonflies and some Gatekeeper butterflies were flying around. I continued in a circular walk and found areas where cobwebs were scattered with rain and flowers trapped within them, see extras. It was the attractive Brimstone butterflies I spotted on the way back that are the main blip. I also saw a Golden Ringed dragonfly amongst the heather which is also in extras.
It ended up as quite a warm sunny day eventually.
