Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Summer!

Hooray, at last a night's sleep, my herbal sleep aid worked and I slept till 6. 30 then woke for about two hours then fell asleep again just as the thunder started.
It was all over by the time I woke again and the sun was shining, good for my washing at least.
We decided to head out for South Queensferry for a walk and some lunch. The car thermometer read 23°, very pleasant.
The thumbnail of a puffin caught my eye, on top of a boat in the harbour and the sky over the bridge was such a lovely shade of blue.
We parked behind the Priory Church and wandered around the hatch it and along the beach before going up to the a high Street to find some lunch.
We ended up sitting outdoors on the terrace at Orocco Pier feeling very comfortable in the warm repair and enjoying the gentle sea breeze.
It was from the a terrace that we noticed the large jellyfish on the shore and went down to have a look. It was almost two feet in diameter. The smaller jellyfish which was nearby is a Lions Mane, there were a few of them around. The large one though wasn't identified by Google lens. I don't think it was upside down so not sure why it wasn't recognised.
It's been a lovely day and so nice not to feel exhausted. It was so nice to get all the holiday washing dried and put away and smelling lovely too.
