Splish, splash!

The birds love the water bath in this hot weather.
Have to full it up twice a day!

Not the best weather for a funeral, but better than rain.

We went to pay our last respects to a former work colleague of my husband.
Met up with some of his work friends of the 1980s.
Needless to say there was a lot a reminiscing. Lots of stories to tell, and much laughter.
H (who was in his 80's) would have been proud that so many of his old work colleagues had come to remember him.
It was also nice to meet his son and daughter, ( who looked very much like their Dad!)

The hot weather is set to continue, and as it is Saint Swithin's day today, we should have fine weather for the next 40 days and 40 nights.

St Swithun's day if thou dost rain
For forty days it will remain.
St Swithun's day if thou be fair,
For forty days 'twill rain nae mare.

So does that mean we will be having a hosepipe ban soon??
