Star of the Show

Went to hear Amy Liptrot at the book festival talking about Outrun the memoir she did about 10 years ago about living on Orkney. It’s an amazing book and now there’s a play and a film which premieres on Thursday night. A bit wetter this morning so the town was quieter and I managed to pop into Sandy Smells for some festival free peace, tranquility and decent beer that didn’t cost £10. I actually got charged £13.80 for 2 halves the other day but that was a mistake.
