Before anyone else filled the brown bin up with stuff I took out most of the outward-facing fluffy bits and lightly tinned some of the longer bits at the top which were starting to droop outwards. Next time the bin is empty, which might be a month hence, I'll go around from the inside and take the top down to as high as I can hold the trimmers, so that it can thicken up at that height.
