Midday Errands
I have been shopping at Trader Joe’s for years and I only today learned that these shelves slide out. I saw another person do it to grab the fresher loaf of bread in the back. I’m sure the feature is for the people who are stocking the shelves and not for customers, but it’s good to know! Now… can they do this in the milk aisle as well please? *wink
A very quick run to two grocery stores and the post office during lunch time today. Bought chicken and vegetables for tonight’s dinner, returned a pair of shoes, and mailed out late graduation cards to some of my students.
It is amazing, the things that bring a toddler joy. The hit of oxytocin that I get from it makes all the hard parts worth it. I got some free stickers today and that kept her entertained for quite a while after she came home from daycare. Then we opened a new Moana hoodie that arrived in the mail from her grandparents today. Then we listened to one Moana song and she danced, twirled, and screeched with excitement in her new sweater, Moana figurine in hand. She devoured a bunch of edamame and a slice of pineapple at dinner, but skipped the adobo chicken with rice - sometimes the sides are better than the main dish, I guess. So much for the time spent shopping and cooking!
