Out and about
The morning started early, with the washing machine repair man arriving half an hour early at 7.30am, apparently, he is playing golf this afternoon and wanted to get his jobs completed early … all fixed now, which is great.
Ended up popping into the town centre a number of times today in order to get some last minute things for our cruise which starts tomorrow. It’s handy being to close to the centre as well as the benefit of free parking.
Maybe, that’s why our High Street is still quite lively, which results in us still having four banks (that said, we still have a fair amount of mail bars and barbers).
Anyway, after my haircut, picking up prescriptions, as well as getting a Feliway cat refill, I am now back home in time for lunch much.
I wonder what the afternoon will have in store.
Have a good day all.
P.S. my blip is off the old town hall and toll both, originally dating from the late 15th century, though, except for the clock tower, it was destroyed in 1544 and rebuilt in 1572. It has been a court, a jail and a police station.
The Old Town Hall fronting the square dates from 1733 and has been a court room and a meeting place for the town council with a market area beneath.
