The Green - A bit less green

About a month ago I posted a photo of the outside eating are at Cafe 52 in The Green. At the time it seemed that the council would remove the seating area that very week.

That did not happen, but when I passed through today the seating area had largely disappeared, and now resembles a building site. or more correctly a demolition site.

There is still an outside seating area in front of the Contour Café, possibly the council intends that should be removed also. Or maybe not. I read that the reason for removing the Café 52 seating area was because it was inconveniencing the redevelopment of the Aberdeen market building site.

The extra shows the original photograph before I gave it a painterly effect. This shows more clearly the current condition of the site, all that remains of the seating area is the so-called shepherds hut, presumably awaiting removal by truck.
