Down Memory Lane!
Today we went to Reigate to meet up with an old school friend of mine whom I haven't seen for 12 years since we met up at our school's 50th anniversary in 2012.
We then drove to the village of Outwood which is where I lived for the first 18 years of my life. This windmill used to be the oldest working windmill in England but has been bought privately and was looking a bit worse for wear. I gather the National Trust were going to buy it at one point - it's a pity they didn't.
We had a really good lunch at The Bell Inn, just around the corner (first extra) and then a walk to the cricket pitch where, lo and behold, Outwood were playing a match (second extra). I remember going there as a child, playing in the woods with my sister and friends and then scoffing banana sandwiches for tea in the club house! We drove down the road after that to our old house but nobody was at home so I just took a few pictures of the garden. Such happy memories! Also in extras is a photo of Diana and me outside her house before we drove home.
