Trees, ancient and modern

This afternoon we nipped over into Wales to pick blackberries calling in at St Michael's Church, in the tiny hamlet of Discoed, on our way home. I wanted to see the new (2017) stained glass window that has been installed. However when we got there we discovered that the church floor has been removed so that it can be replaced with new oak planks and there was no easy access to the window.  Instead my blip is of some more remarkable wood outside, specifically the yew tree which, it has been estimated, may be as much as 5,000 years old, making it one of the five oldest trees in Britain.
