A heavy crop.

For a small tree it is laden with fruit even though I have already reduced, manually, the size of the clusters. It's normally a September fruiting tree, but with the haphazard nature of the seasons this year, I'm not sure if that still applies. The variety is Red Windsor.
A full day as following coffee with friends we lunched with former colleagues on the Cornish side of the upper Tamar Valley  at the historic  Rifle Volunteer pub near Gunnislake. It was built as a Mine  Captains house around 1800 and later converted to a coaching inn. Exceptional food, and glorious views across the valley towards South Devon from the restaurant. From the village there were also great views towards Bodmin Moor .
