Not Margie

Margie's elder son is visiting her today, so I have postponed my usual Wednesday visit to tomorrow. I'm having a day of errands and house cleaning (took this photo as I was walking to the grocery store), and I hope to see a movie this afternoon. I spent 35 years offering writing and theatre workshops in prisons, so this movie feels important for me.

The extra comes to me from Seth. They are having a brief summer vacation, first break for all four of them together since last year.

I believe in being present for each moment as it comes. I am also aware that each moment comes with an underlayer of horror as the slaughter of children and families in Gaza continues. What can we do to stop it? No one with power is listening. Still, we persist. I sent four letters to elected representatives today.
