The Rockets won!
First of all, it rained. The rain was cool and mizzly. I walked to work in it. At lunchtime, I took a bus up to the community centre, but the client did not show. I chatted to a worker about some other people we're engaging with. Never a waste of time to go there.
Went back to work. Colleague was listening to a webinar about the new RSV vaccine. I went home after a bit, as I was expecting a visit from a fellow former blipper, Cowgirl. She had had some trouble getting here, but turned up eventually. We were too tired to go out for a walk, despite the sun shining, and we had a bit to catch up on: is it eight years since we last saw each other?
I made some supper while Cowgirl started watching the cricket 'hundreds'. Her team, Nottingham Rockets, was playing at home at Trent Park. We had a TV dinner, and in the second half there was a pleasant surprise when the Rockets began to show an improvement, and eventually beat the Oval Invincibles! They won't go through to the weekend final, but they won at home!
It's been great to see Cowgirl again and have a totally relaxed evening in good company. Let's not leave it another eight years.
