The Supervisor
Despite having a guest, I managed to be at my desk by 8.30. Cowgirl enjoyed home made granola for breakfast and left about 9.45 for Chepstow, a township from which I have recently breturned. We agreed to meet again before another 8 years have passed. Next time, she must stay a bit longer!
Indie assumed the position of supervisor while I worked, then settled down in a comfortable bed of padded envelopes. Only little the little snuffling sounds made me aware of her presence: she had disappeared, as completely as a hedgehog inside a tent lining.
I worked on, then stopped for lunch and worked some more. Good news and bad news in equal measure from my clients. When I finished work, I konged for toast and marmite, but I could only find pitta bread. I must try to find some gf bread that is edible, that I can keep in the freezer.
Later I had to go out to see a house and a dog that I am going to be looking after for a few days. It was raining, and I had to search for a jacket and a brolly. Fortunately the house isn't far from ours, so I won't have to be inconvenienced.
And now, we are shortly about to watch 'Suspicion', a classic Hitchcock film, the one featuring a glass of poisoned milk, which glows in the dark.
Here's to the end of the working week!
