A Decent Cup of Tea
I enjoyed one from this mug this afternoon :-)
Finally getting the hang of throwing, I have been increasingly pleased with the results. This the third mug, much the biggest. I wanted something bigger than a standard mug .... and here it is. Some who know me would say that I don't know what a decent cup of tea looks like! (I have it quite weak.) But I like plenty, so this size is just the ticket.
I started work later than originally planned, the wall-to-wall sunshine saw all the holidaymakers heading for the beach and consequently some light loads on the trains. This worked out just fine for me. An hour at pottery where I progressed a couple of glazing projects, lunch at home and an hour in the greenhouse afterward before I needed to get ready. In the end it was a fairly busy shift, lots of sandwiches made for tomorrow and a well loaded evening train. I was working with a young teenager who has had relatively little experience so clearing up took just a little longer but he was a willing assistant, just needing a bit of direction and guidance. A good evening's work.
After shop yesterday and cafe today, tomorrow it's a volunteer turn, guarding a train. Variety certainly is the spice of life!
