Baking in the Sun

We are at the beginning of our first heat wave in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Today's high was only 94 F (34C) although the outdoor thermometer in my car hit 99 on the way home from work. By Thursday and Friday, temperatures will be near/at 100 F (37C).

I went out in the neighborhood after work searching for something to blip. All of the birds and squirrels are in hiding and there was not much in the way of tiny critters. The only thing I found was this skipper, a carpenter bee, and a honey bee.
