In Flight
After nipping into town first thing, I drove over to Natural Surroundings to try to photograph dragons in flight. It opened at 10:30 when the sun promptly went in and the wind got up. I had a wander round, but nothing much around to photograph. Then just before I was going to leave, the sun came out and some common darters appeared - this was my best attempt.
On the drive home my windscreen got hit by a stone and an 8 in crack had spread by the time I got home. I rang my car insurer who put me through to National Windscreens, they could only book me in next Thurs or the following Thurs in Norwich, so I went for next Thurs. Then I realised that what I was told, what I received in a text, and what I got in an email in terms of instructions all differed, plus my appt was 4pm and it could take 4 hours. Not happy, I rang LV who said it could be replaced at my home by the other company they deal with Autoglass. This turned out to be incorrect, cars with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) have to visit their main centre due to the calibration needed. Since July 2022 all new cars in Europe must have some form of ADAS fitted. So I'm now booked in with Autoglass late Wed morning in Norwich, a 45 min drive away. I won't risk driving beforehand as the crack is spreading. Other booking was cancelled.
I think this might be my 8 year blip anniversary, originally I didn't blip daily so I actually started in April 2015. Sorry for the lack of an 8 year photo - I forgot! Thanks for all your comments and stars and hearts - all much appreciated. I do think blipfoto is a special community, so supportive and I've also learnt so much from others. Long may it prosper.
