Heath Colours

The colours on Kelling Heath looked lovely today for my walk with H. She kindly picked me up as I don't want to drive the car before I have to drive to get the windscreen repaired on Wednesday - the crack is still spreading. We got 0.4mm of rain yesterday evening, we need more, but the heath which is only two to three miles away had obviously had a lot more with some big puddles. In Holt we've only had 0.8mm of rain in the last 4.5 weeks (following 102.8mm of rain in the two weeks before this). Such weird weather. There were hardly any signs of birds or butterflies on the walk today, although I did get bothered by a wasp which was after my hot chocolate at the Holiday Village! This afternoon it was lovely weather to sit in the garden and listen to my audiobook.
