Rain, rain and more rain

It was very wet here today.

I chose not to walk. People who did ended up very wet and had to shorten their routes. Elterwater burst its banks so the group going there turned back.

I knitted and chatted with Caroline, discovering that she worked for the Brook Clinic as a counsellor for years. We had lots of stories to share.

I ventured outside when the rain eased this afternoon and enjoyed myself taking close up photos of the wall outside the hotel annexe.

Tonight we had another excellent meal then a Lake District quiz. All good fun.

Tomorrow is a walk up Helm Crag. It sounds steep…..!
