Frost in the mountains

Well, Mom and I had a great time but the weather was stormy like I thought it might be. We got the tent up before we had to jump in and wait out the storm. The way I set the tent up the wind blew on the side and kept bending in the tent poles. Luckily, everything held and we just got the giggles with it all. That is the second extra. Once it was over we got out and had dinner and got a fire started so we could roast marshmallows later. Mom has been wanting to get up camping and I'm so glad we had this little trip together. 
The sky was too cloudy for meteor watching but it was stunning at 3 in the morning. You didn't need the moon to get around the starlight was enough. But it was too cold to stand out looking. My main is the remains of some frost we had. It probably got down close to 32 F but we were at 10500 feet so that's not unusual in Mid-August.
The extras are some from last evening. It's the same place I went last week but a different camp site.
