What a day! And, I celebrated a bit too... last day going with several busses to work! :)
So, my cousin and his family are traveling home tomorrow and they're visiting my mum on the way.
Yesterday I asked my cousin if they could swing by the Greenhouse so I could send mum some veggies and a bouquet of flowers. He said yes, and I made mum a bouquet as soon as my first chore was done. I asked one of the bosses and got an ok, of course. I didn't have the time to take a photo of mums bouquet, but these flowers in the collage was in it, among 3 pieces of lovely flowing grass and some greenery. I must say this was one of my best bouquets. I placed it in a vase with a note that had my name on it.
Then we had customers coming and they wanted to buy flowers and veggies and bouquets... Suddenly I saw my mums bouquet on the counter and a customer said I'll have this too. I asked were she'd found it, and saw the vase with my name on it on the table with the flowers for sale. So I had to tell her that this wasn't for sale, and I went and took the vase back to another table. I told the customer that this bouquet is for my mum.
I got really irritated on the coworker not paying attention. I think I know who, she'd done this before... So disrespectful!
Then we had our break and I collected veggies for my mum. When I stood at the cash register a coworker came with veggies to buy, so I did hers first. She really got me annoyed before too. I had to explain to her that we, who work at the greenhouse, can buy our products on our break or after work. She was arguing with me about it, and I told her again and again and again... one of the bosses also told her, and finally she understood/gave up.
Then I started adding my things to the cash register, when my cousin and his daughter came. I was doing this when another coworker came and wanted to put her groceries on the scale that tells the weight and then you register the prise/kilo to get the actual price. I said stop, because I was in the middle of my buy... When I was finished, payed and had everything in the bag, I took her veggies so she could pay. Then the other coworker (who argued with me about when to be able to buy for ourselves...), started questioning me if I had a card. First I misunderstood and thought she was questioning if I'd payed for my veggies, but she was questioning if I had a card to the cash register. I finally understood that she thought only bosses had a card, so I took mine up from my pocket to show her that I had one too. I was so over her today!!!
The reason for me wanting to give mum a bouquet was that today is 37 years since my dad died, and even if the grief isn't as powerful anymore, it's still there for both mum and me. Giving mum a bouquet this weekend was extra important and I'm so grateful that my cousin could take it (and tomatoes, cucumber, fennel, fresh garlic and zucchini) to mum.
Rant over. Now it's the weekend and it'll be so nice to have a rest and no annoying coworkers...
