Palio

We took the train to medieval Siena.
What we didn’t know is that it was the day of the Palio where they race 10 horses bareback around the Piazza del Campo.
Unfortunately we’d have missed the last train if we’d stayed to watch.
Turned out it was postponed until tomorrow due to a sudden downpour.
We got soaked in the downpour on the way back to the station.
