Bonfire day

R went to Brighton today to see a friend, so I spent time in the garden cutting back overgrown trees and brambles, which eventually led me to feel it was time to set alight the bonfire pile. It has accumulated from pretty much the day we moved in and was now a monstrous size. I thought it was a good time to do so as the wind was steady, blowing in the right direction and it was all reasonably dry. At times the fire seemed very fierce, but basically it worked. By the time of this photo I was confident thatvall was unser control and it would now just take its course.
R and I then watched another episode of Dopesick, which just about continues to entertain.
