Spidey time!

There is one member of our family who will dislike this photo. One time I was in the kitchen and got a phone call from this person who was standing at the bottom of the stairs. They wanted me to get rid of a large spider in the hall!

A friend and colleague recently got bitten by a spider ( the swelling has now eased).

And the other night in Hamilton we were discussing how this seems to be the time for spiders to emerge.

So it should have been no surprise to see this one inside the barometer. Despite it looking as if it were trapped between the 2 dial hands, it was alive and did move later on.

A busy day ending with a couple of hours playing with our grandson (now 17 months) who had arrived at 10pm after a 3 hour snooze from Lancaster. Bed just after midnight!
