Hooray the weekend again! 

The 102 Russian soldiers that Ukraine captured even though they were in tunnels with supplies and munitions? They had been abandoned by their commanders. 

Britain gave Ukraine robot dogs. This decade is so weird. They can run. They can stand up. They can jump. they can do recon and carry small loads. One type is named BAD One. The more advanced model is named BAD Two. 

An African lion, Yuna, developed some psychological issues in Ukraine. There were too many blasts near her home. She and a male lion were abandoned in a private home. She was taken to Wild Animal Rescue, supported by the International Fund for Animal Welfare on Wednesday. She is going to The Big Cat Sanctuary. 25 hours of driving through Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, and France and then she will go to Kent. The other cat, Rori, will go later. Hopefully with some peace she’ll recover. 

Ukrainian forces are now going into Belgorod Oblast. They don’t have the element of surprise. Speaking of which, Ukraine didn’t need to take cell phones away from its soldiers before invading Russia. They were able to trust them. 

Putin is supposedly going after generals who failed to defend Kursk.  One of the things we can’t really comprehend is that yes, Russia has more men than Ukraine. Yes, Russia is happy to get them all killed. And therefore, yes, Russia has this as an advantage over Ukraine. BUT Russia does not have more capable military leaders. Their military leaders are terrified to think on their own. They aren’t fighting for their families and their homes. They have no incentive to be innovative or daring, and they may well be punished if they are. They also don’t have superior officers who want to hear the truth and thus there is no reason to tell them the truth.
