The Challenge

How to create a meaningful blip out of the backside of a squirrel.

Well, of course, it is Pippin and from the front or back, he's just about the cutest rodent ever, (with the possible exception of the very pregnant Sylvia). He's also a bottomless pit and can consume more peanuts than a squirrel three times his size. He'll take those peanuts out of my hand now, but he's still pretty easily spooked. And he's sooooo quick that it's really hard to get a decent picture of him.

The evening got away from me tonight so I was glad he was around and that he sat still for a fraction of second. He wasn't the only squirrel in the yard this evening because the hazelnut tree is producing its nuts now and between the squirrels and the birds, it's a popular spot. It's also dangerous to stand under because one is bombarded with half eaten hazelnuts and peanut shells and these critters have pretty good aim. At least they're dependable blip subjects, from any side.
