Gardening club

We've joined a local gardening club.  They have a flower patch, and a fruit and veg garden, including a polytunnel.  A couple of dozen local residents keep it maintained and growing.  And also spend a lot of time chatting and contemplating. 

We don't really need an outlet for our gardening urge - there's still plenty to do on our own patch, but the social aspect is good - getting to know more local folk.  We came away with some beetroot and onions.

In the afternoon I made some progress with sewing this quilt together.  I have come to realise over the last couple of days that it is preying on my mind and preventing me from enjoying other activities.  Putting it together hasn't been straightforward - I've reached the point where I really just want it finished.
